Mo Salah's time at Liverpool continues to be under scrutiny with the links of a move away from Anfield continue to be under speculation and the bookies have had their say on the situation. In the past, Salah has been linked with a big money move to the Saudi Pro League and despite signing a new contract with the Reds back in April, the links have not gone away.
The 33-year-old Liverpool has featured in both Premier League matches against Bournemouth and Newcastle - where he provided an assist in each game - since returning from AFCON disappointment with Egypt.
The former Chelsea winger was in formidable form just last season with 34 goals from 52 appearances - including 29 goals in the Premier League - as Liverpool went on to lift the league title in Arne Slot's first season. However, it has not been a season to remember so far for the Egyptian with just six goals and six assists from 24 appearances in all competitions.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Deadline Day always brings dramatic twists in the market, and today all the momentum is behind Mohamed Salah potentially making a late move to the Saudi Pro League. We’ve cut the price on the Egyptian going to any Saudi club into 11/8 from 7/4, which makes it the most likely deal to take place today.
“Raheem Sterling’s proposed move to Fulham is another one attracting strong interest, and that’s been backed into 6/4 as the Cottagers look to take advantage of his free-agent status.
“There are still plenty of eye-catching possibilities further down the list too, including Micky van de Ven to Liverpool and Ruben Neves to Manchester United, both at 2/1, so it could be a frantic final few hours.”
No official bid has been confirmed yet and there has been some doubt as to the potential transfer after the Saudi Pro League now turn their transfer attention to young, upcoming stars rather than the established elite in the European Leagues. Yet these rumours are not going quietly and, according to reports, the league still value Salah as a top transfer target despite their policy shift.
