Chelsea have done the business on the field since Liam Rosenior arrived, but there seems to be a real lack of movement from the owners off it.
A central defender and a central midfielder signing were on the cards for most of the window.
First, we had the Douglas Luiz rejection, as there were reports he chose Aston Villa instead, as well as some saying Chelsea walked away from him.
All of this went on whilst Chelsea were locked in talks for Jeremy Jacquet. And after weeks of negotiations, it’s Liverpool that the young defender will be joining instead.
Kieran Gill has been providing the latest on all things Chelsea throughout the window, and he’s provided an update on the centre-back pursuit on deadline day.

Chelsea are not interested in signing Tylel Tati
Tylel Tati has been floated around as a centre-back signing for the future in the past few days, with a potential loan move back to Nantes.
Now, Kieran Gill has reported that this won’t be coming to fruition (as per Daily Mail live blog).
I’m told there’s no truth in the links saying Chelsea are interested in signing Tylel Tati, the 18-year-old centre back of Nantes, today.
So it looks as if Chelsea won’t be making the centre-back signing after all.
We had the whole of January to sign Jeremy Jacquet and come up short 😡
Who is to blame for this?!

A couple more transfer updates at Chelsea
Also, in some other Chelsea news, Kieran Gill revealed that he’s hearing 22-year-old goalkeeper Teddy Sharman-Lowe is staying where he is after his recall from a loan at Bolton.
Also, Jimi Tauriainen may leave, but nothing is close for the 21-year-old midfielder as of yet.
That’s not all on the outgoing front either, as Tyrique George, Axel Disasi, David Datro Fofana and possibly other exits are on the cards.
Gone are the days of Chelsea spending millions, as the owners look towards the summer.
