Chelsea legend and Coventry City manager Frank Lampard already appears to be thinking about life in the Premier League.
Coventry are currently top of the Championship table, so promotion to the English top flight is certainly possible for Lampard and his men.
If that happens, they are going to need reinforcements ahead of a long and potentially gruelling season in the Premier League.

Ben Chilwell and Frank Lampard could reunite at Coventry
In the last transfer window, it was claimed that Lampard tried to sign Ben Chilwell for Coventry.
A transfer never materialised and the defender ended up at Chelsea’s sister club Strasbourg. However, Lampard’s interest in Chilwell does not appear to have disappeared.
Journalist Simon Phillips has reported on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that Coventry and Lampard could make a move for the left-back if they gain promotion this season.

It was Lampard who brought Chilwell to Chelsea in 2020, signing him from Leicester City.
The retired midfielder did not get to work with Chilwell for too long after being sacked by Chelsea during the 2020/21 season. It was disappointing for him, but that campaign was a successful one for Chilwell and his teammates as they went on to win the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel.

How Ben Chilwell felt playing under Liam Rosenior
While Chelsea players are still getting to know Liam Rosenior, Chilwell is familiar with the 41-year-old after working with him at Strasbourg during the first half of this season.
According to Phillips, Chilwell enjoyed playing under the new Chelsea manager but is still happy in France despite his former boss’ exit.
Right now, Chelsea’s current crop of players are also probably happy with life under Rosenior, with the team picking up wins. They beat West Ham United 3-2 over the weekend making it six victories out of seven since Rosenior’s arrival.
