Caitlin Clark Sends 7-Word Message After Making NBC Broadcast Debut

"Sunday Night Basketball" debuted on NBC on Sunday with a two-game slate, beginning with the Los Angeles Lakers traveling to Madison Square Garden to face the New York Knicks, followed by a showdown between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets.

The pregame crew - consisting of Maria Taylor, Carmelo Anthony, Vince Carter, and Tracy McGrady - was on site for the Lakers–Knicks matchup. Joining them as a special contributor was Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark, who made her broadcast debut.

While Clark received plenty of praise for her performance, one moment that caught viewers' attention was the noticeable size difference when she stood between Anthony and Reggie Miller, who appeared briefly during her time at the desk.

After the broadcast, Clark poked fun at the moment on social media, posting, "I'm going to wear stilts next time."

Basketball fans were quick to react to Clark's comments and the noticeable height difference between her, Anthony, and Miller.

"Never thought CC would look so short," one fan wrote.

Another added, "Wow, the height difference is actually nuts."

"Short queen energy," another person commented.

"You towered over these guys in knowledge, though," one fan joked.

One more added, "Or at least a step stool."

The broadcast as a whole appeared to be a major success, with several premier faces making appearances throughout the pregame show. Clark, however, quickly emerged as one of the fan favorites.

Based on her post-broadcast comments, it also seems this may not be her lone appearance on Sunday Night Basketball, as NBC - which regained NBA broadcast rights this past offseason after a long run with TNT - continues to roll out its revamped coverage.
