According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Mavericks are taking calls on Anthony Davis, naming two most likely suitors if a trade were to happen.

"The Mavericks are taking calls for Anthony Davis going into the last three or four days before the deadline. I would look at Atlanta and Toronto as potential suitors if there's a trade, but the Mavericks could also just wait for the offseason," Charania reports.

Davis had been considered one of the top names on this year's trade market, but he has been sidelined since January 8 with ligament damage in his left hand.

His injury raises questions about whether he can stay healthy enough for another team to take a major gamble on him.

The injuries have already caused Davis to miss 26 of the Mavericks' 46 games this season.

On top of that, his contract could make a trade even more complicated. He is set to earn $58.5 million next season, with a $62.8 million player option for 2027-28, and he will be eligible for an extension on August 6--whether from Dallas or a new team.

This season, the 32-year-old is averaging 20.4 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.
