Liverpool are now reportedly in talks to sign two more additions after securing a deal to welcome Jeremy Jacquet, who is expected to arrive in the summer.

With Ibrahima Konate on course to become a free agent in the summer and Marc Guehi opting to join Manchester City instead of waiting for Liverpool, there was a sense of concern beginning to set in about Arne Slot's defensive options.
Without the right additions, Slot was facing the prospect of a centre-back crisis until Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes swooped in to sign Jacquet ahead of Chelsea.
In a package worth around £60m, Liverpool are set to sign the Rennes star before welcoming him at the end of the current campaign. This time, the Reds haven't waited around and look set to welcome a potential replacement for Konate.
The 20-year-old will be an impressive addition, but he won't solve Liverpool's problems until he arrives in the summer and that could yet see the Reds dip back into the market before the deadline.
Those at Anfield were, of course, in talks to sign Lutsharel Geertruida earlier this week, only for talks to break down amongst difficulties cancelling the defender's loan from RB Leipzig to Sunderland.

Liverpool have reportedly held initial talks over a deal to sign a star who could be Arne Slot's own Adam Wharton.
Liverpool were on the right track with that one, however. Geertruida would have provided cover at right-back, centre-back and even in midfield on loan. He is the exact type of player that they should be looking at as the deadline approaches.
But if it's not to be him, then who could it be? Reports are now suggesting that the Reds have turned their focus towards the Netherlands for two more signings.
Liverpool in talks to sign Flamingo & Baas
As reported by DaveOCKOP, Liverpool are now in talks to sign Ryan Flamingo and Youri Baas from Ajax and PSV Eindhoven, respectively.
The defensive duo would instantly boost Slot's backline for the remainder of the campaign, but things would have to move quickly at this stage of the transfer window.

Two young centre-backs at 23 and 22 years old, Flamingo and Baas both play in the Eredivisie and may yet be on their way to Merseyside.
The former also got a small taste of Anfield earlier this season, of course, when he watched on from the bench as PSV dismantled an out-of-sorts Liverpool side in the Champions League.
Dubbed "excellent" by talent scout Jacek Kulig, Flamingo also has the ability to step into midfield in what should only increase the interest of Liverpool.
