Hearts manager Derek McInnes has confirmed that Arsenal have made contact with the club regarding a possible move for teenage forward James Wilson.
The Gunners are looking to add more strength and firepower to the Under 21s before Monday's 7pm deadline and Wilson, 18, has been identified as a target. The 2007-born striker is rated high at Hearts and has scored twice in 10 appearances across all competitions this season.
But Wilson has struggled for game time in the Scottish Premiership with Lawrence Shankland, Pierre Landry Kabore and Elton Kabangu keeping him out of the side.
When asked about Wilson's future on Monday afternoon, McInnes told Sky Sports: "I'll leave that to Graeme Jones, he is the one that deals with it. I think there was conversations with Arsenal yesterday (Sunday), they call and spoke to Graeme, but there has been nothing since from Arsenal.
"I heard about Tottenham as well but Tottenham have had no discussions with us directly, so who knows with that, it's up to Graeme Jones to deal with. But I think any player going out will have to have benefit to the club."
