Exclusive: West Ham break silence on Wan-Bissaka Liverpool claim and Lingard and Zouma returns

West Ham have responded to claims Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a target for Liverpool on deadline day as well as addressing talk of potential returns for Jesse Lingard and Kurt Zouma.

Hammers News exclusive

Speculation has been swirling around West Ham once again, with some familiar names dominating the rumour mill and one particularly shocking claim involving Liverpool.

It is fair to say both the Hammers and Liverpool have fallen below expectations this season.

West Ham find themselves in the middle of a desperate battle to stay in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have failed miserably to defend their title despite spending hundreds of millions on new players.

Wan-Bissaka linked with deadline day move to Liverpool

The Reds have been so below par that Arne Slot is believed to want to spend more money, this time on a West Ham star in the shape of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The right-back has been a revelation since joining the Irons for just £15m in the summer of 2024.

We all love the club to bits, but let’s be real – what would you have to tell a new signing to convince them to join?! 😔

Wan-Bissaka has underlined his reputation as the best one-vs-one defenders in the game since joining the Hammers and has looked impressive going forward too.

He was so good in his debut season that he won West Ham’s prestigious Hammer of the Year gong.

So if Liverpool are looking for a right-back amid injuries to Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley, it is understandable a player of Wan-Bissaka’s talent would be on their radar.

Wan-Bissaka’s history as a Man United player would make that move seem highly unlikely.

Although it didn’t stop the likes of Paul Ince and Michael Owen in the past.

Now it is being claimed that Liverpool are in advanced talks with West Ham over a move for Wan-Bissaka.

The claim emerged from a trainee journalist and was repeated by popular Liverpool X account Anfield Papers.

It is not the only shock move the Hammers have been linked with on deadline day, though.

Now claims involving Wan-Bissaka and a surprise move to Liverpool have been addressed by the club, while talk of potential returns for Jesse Lingard and Kurt Zouma has also prompted a response.

Just when you thought you might have heard the end of the Lingard West Ham saga, the midfielder is linked yet again.

With so many midfielders leaving West Ham in this window, it was inevitable Lingard would be linked after becoming a free agent since leaving Korea.

If you had to rate this signing between 1 and 5, what would you go for? 🤔

We're closing in on a defender, but is he the right one?! 👀

Lingard has been pictured training to keep himself in shape in Essex.

It was then revealed that Lingard has been offered to West Ham and other clubs.

Lingard lit up the Premier League with a superb loan spell as he scored nine goals and laid on five assists in 16 games of an unforgettable loan spell at West Ham back in 2021.

Former Hammers captain Zouma has also been linked with a return to the London Stadium in whispers as he struggles to find a new club.

It comes a couple of days after Zouma was linked with a stunning Premier League return at Newcastle.

Now West Ham have responded on the Wan-Bissaka Liverpool claim and the return of Lingard and Zouma.

Hammers address return talk around Lingard and Zouma

Hammers News put it to the top spokesman for West Ham’s owners whether there was any truth to claims Wan-Bissaka could join Liverpool.

The spokesman was also asked whether Lingard and/or Zouma could return.

The answer was short, sharp and unequivocal.

“The Wan-Bissaka to Liverpool and Lingard/Zouma return rumours are all rubbish,” the top spokesman for West Ham’s board exclusively told Hammers News.

However, one player who looks set to join West Ham is Chelsea outcast Axel Disasi.
