Liverpool fans have largely been left frustrated during the 2026 winter transfer window.
After previous links to the Reds, Antoine Semenyo moved to Manchester City when his release clause was triggered.
Then, Liverpool lost out on Marc Guehi to the Sky Blues, who signed the centre-back for a reduced fee amid his Crystal Palace contract expiring in June.
However, with the transfer window now set to close on Monday, FSG and Co. have finally got a deal over the line.

Jamie Redknapp loves Jeremy Jacquet signing
Liverpool have won the race for Jeremy Jacquet after the centre-back was also being eyed up by Chelsea.
Now, speaking live on Sky Sports during their Deadline Day coverage, Jamie Redknapp has shared a clear verdict on the deal.
He said: “I actually love this signing. It’s £60 million. Of course, it’s a lot of money, but he’s obviously got great pedigree. Everyone talks so highly of him.
“Chelsea obviously scouted him really well. Liverpool have come in with a late bid and managed to get him across the line. I think it makes an enormous amount of sense to do that move.”
Redknapp also commented on the fact that Jacquet will not be joining Liverpool until the summer.

Paul Merson was left shocked by the defender not signing until after the current season comes to a close.
Elsewhere, Jamie Carragher thinks Liverpool need a defender who can play in 2025/26 before the window shuts
But Redknapp had a much more positive view, suggesting the delayed move will be good for the player.
He added: “And also what I like is, Lenny Yoro is a good example, he went to United early, didn’t get any game time. So he’s missed out on a year, two years of development of playing every single game. It’s been hard for him to find that form and he’s not in the team at the moment.
“Whereas for him to stay at Rennes, get another six months or four or five months to the end of the season, play, get experience, make mistakes when you’re a young defender, and then come to Liverpool when he’s ready. Even if it’s next year, he has another six months at the start of next January, up until January, and then they bring him in. I wouldn’t be averse to that.
“He just needs to play football right now. The young defenders, they come in, they make mistakes. So I think it’s a good signing, but it’s not for now. It might be for a year’s time. And when he comes in, him and Leoni might be the next partnership going forward.”
