As also reported elsewhere, The Star understands that Sheffield Wednesday are in talks with regards to a potential move for Manchester City’s Joel Ndala.
The 19-year-old is currently on loan with Wednesday’s Yorkshire rivals, Hull City, but there has been talk that his spell there could be cut short before this evening’s 7pm deadline. If it is, then it’s thought that the Owls are trying to position themselves as a good place for his next chapter.
Henrik Pedersen has already persuaded City to loan one of their young players to the club, with Jaden Heskey having been signed earlier in the transfer window, and that could stand them in good stead in their pursuit of Ndala over the next few hours.

Journalist, Alan Nixon, first noted Wednesday’s interest in the teenager, and this publication is also led to believe that discussions are ongoing – with increasing likelihood that his season-long loan with The Tigers could be cut short.
Pedersen is eager to add to his ranks amid the pending exit of Bailey Cadamarteri to Wrexham, and there remains hope that Marvelous Nakamba will be able to come on board before tonight’s deadline should terms be agreed on a mutual termination of his contract at Luton Town.
At the time of writing there is no suggestion that any other outgoings from Hillsborough are imminent, but interest in the likes of Svante Ingelsson and Yan Valery remains and the Owls could have their resolve tested before the window slams shut.
Ndala has played 19 times for Hull since joining the club, scoring twice.
