Two Cavaliers players linked to trades, All-Star could be moved as well

The Cavaliers are active ahead of the February 5 trade deadline: expected to trade Lonzo Ball, potentially move Max Strus, are being watched for Donovan Mitchell, and are being speculated about a possible blockbuster involving Evan Mobley and Giannis.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are a team to watch as the trade deadline approaches. The Cavs are expected to move Lonzo Ball before the February 5 deadline, but sharpshooter Max Strus could also be on the move, according to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.

Cleveland Cavaliers / Schedule

"Strus' days with the Cavs appear to be numbered after the team acquired Ellis and Schroder, and if he isn't dealt before Thursday's deadline, he will be a prime trade candidate in the offseason, entering the final year of his contract," Siegel reported.

On top of that, teams are keeping an eye on All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell's situation in Cleveland, according to ESPN's Tim Bontemps.

NBA reporter Evan Sidery also informed that if the Cavaliers can move Lonzo Ball and a minimum-salary player while staying under the second apron, they could gain flexibility to combine contracts in future deals.

Some rival executives are even speculating whether Cleveland could make a late run at Giannis Antetokounmpo, potentially using Evan Mobley in a trade, per Sidery.

The Cavs already traded De'Andre Hunter to Sacramento, while Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis headed to Cleveland.
