Liverpool have seen some exceptional talents don their shirt over the last decade or so.
The Reds made ‘three of the best signings in the history of football’ with Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino, Jurgen Klopp thinks.
The trio all arrived during the Klopp era, when the German was trying to build Liverpool back up after some rather inconsistent seasons.

Unpopular opinion: Peak Sadio Mane was better than peak Mohamed Salah…

Together, they all helped the Merseyside outfit win their first Premier League title and another Champions League.
One man who did not get a chance to work with the now former manager to take Liverpool back to the very top of English football, though, is Raheem Sterling.
Raheem Sterling offered to Bundesliga side
Sterling left for Manchester City in July 2015, just months before Klopp became manager.
The Englishman enjoyed much success at the Etihad Stadium, winning a number of trophies.

However, since leaving Man City for Chelsea in 2022, Sterling’s career has taken a bit of a nose-dive.
He endured a mixed loan stint with Arsenal, and in the first half of the current campaign, did not make a single appearance.
As a result, Sterling has had his contract with the Blues terminated and is now a free agent.
On that front, journalist Florian Plettenberg has reported this week that the 31-year-old has recently been offered to Union Berlin, who sit ninth in the Bundesliga at present.
He wrote on X/Twitter: “Raheem #Sterling was offered to Union Berlin in recent days. … as Horst Heldt confirmed exclusively to Sky: ‘Sometimes you have to rub your eyes (…) In this case, it didn’t really seem serious. We didn’t pursue it any further’.”

Raheem Sterling Liverpool stats
Jamie Carragher thinks Sterling is similar to Michael Owen, suggesting that the longer their careers went on, the less appreciation they had.
But given that he went on to play for a direct title rival, some Liverpool fans may not have that much love for the winger.
Before moving to Man City, Sterling made 129 appearances, scored 23 goals and provided 18 assists for the Reds.
His most prolific spell came with the Manchester outfit (131 goals), while he ended his Chelsea career having found the back of the net 19 times.
It remains to be seen where Sterling will end up next, but as he is a free agent, he can move outside of the transfer window.
