In the team's first year under head coach Mitch Johnson, the San Antonio Spurs have emerged as one of the top contenders in the Western Conference.

At 33-16, San Antonio has the third-best record in all of the NBA, only behind the Oklahoma City Thunder (39-11) and the Detroit Pistons (36-12).

With Victor Wembanayam and De'Aaron Fox healthy, the Spurs found a strong mix of star power and role players, but are still looking add ahead of the trade deadline.

Despite adding Luke Kornet from the Boston Celtics and having Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs are still looking to add depth at the center position ahead of the NBA trade deadline.

ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel reported that San Antonio is a team that has interest in Orlando Magic center Goga Bitadze.

The Spurs are sitting in a comfortable place financially, having over $10 million in cap space before hitting the first apron.

Bitadze, 26, has two years remaining in the contract that has him getting paid $8.3 million in 2025-26 and $7.6 million in 2026-27.

San Antonio has the room to make the move, but the Magic will have to be willing to part ways with Bitadze.

The former first-round pick in 2018 has seen his minutes decrease since last year. In 41 games this season, Bitadze is averaging 5.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 68 percent from the field.
