Brandon Miller named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Charlotte Hornets) - The NBA announced today that Charlotte Hornets guard Brandon Miller has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

Miller earns the award for the first time in his career after leading Charlotte to a 4-0 record from Jan. 26 to Feb. 1. The third-year guard averaged 26.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game, shooting 51.6% from the field, 50% from beyond the arc and 100% from the line during that span.

Miller went a perfect 25-for-25 from the free throw line last week and has now scored 20-plus points in 10-straight games, the second-longest 20-point game streak of his career. On Jan. 26, he logged his third 30-point outing of the season, the 10th of his career, in Charlotte’s 37-point home victory over the Philadelphia 76ers. In the last week, Miller is tied for first in the East with 16 3-pointers made and ranks third in the conference in total points (105) and in free throws made (25).

Miller becomes the 14th player in franchise history to win Player of the Week and the first since Miles Bridges claimed the award for the first week of the 2021-22 season.
