Fabrizio Romano Reveals Chelsea’s Plan
Although, Chelsea had big plans to sign a top level centre back this month they were not able to make a deal. In response, the Blues have made plans to bring Sarr back into the team. Romano’s update said that Chelsea believe Sarr is a top talent at centre-back for the long term. Also, that his return is planned as part of the club’s strategy for their defence.
Sarr’s return to Chelsea shows the Blues Strategy for the season to solve their internal problems. In this case, providing head coach Liam Rosenior with additional defensive cover without having to rely solely on the summer transfer market was the option they chose. Although he is not a star name, he still brings talent to the team. Also, it solves their short term injury problems and gives the coach another option for the team.
It will be Interesting to see how this move turns out for Chelsea. Also, will he become a long term option for the Blues? What does the future say for Mamadou Sarr? Share your opinion in the comments below.
