He is the latest player to enter the well-known agency of Rich Paul, joining the likes of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, Tyrese Maxey, Brandon Ingram, Zach LaVine and De'Aaron Fox.
This agency change is certainly inclined to impact Dort's looming contract status. He will earn $18.2 million this season, but his 2026-27 is a team option.
Sam Presti and the Thunder will decide whether to exercise this and retain Dort on their side. If not, the forward will hit the market as a free agent.
Dort has seen his production dip this season. He is averaging the lowest points of his career since his rookie campaign with 8.6 points while shooting 39.0 percent from the field.
Nevertheless, he has started in all of his 40 appearances for OKC across 27.7 minutes of play.
It will be intriguing to see how the forthcoming offseason will unfold for Dort, as the Thunder are set to make tough decisions in maintaining their title-winning core.
