According to The Stein Line, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Charlotte Hornets have discussed a trade that would send Lonzo Ball to Charlotte.
"Sources say there has been some preliminary conversation between the Cavaliers and Hornets about Ball trade constructions that could furnish Charlotte with second-round draft capital and thus enable the Hornets to pair the elder Ball with his younger brother LaMelo," The Stein Line reports.
Reportedly, the Hornets, Brooklyn Nets, and Utah Jazz have all been viewed as potential facilitators ahead of the trade deadline, with all three seeking draft capital by being willing to take on unwanted salary.
"Charlotte, Brooklyn, and Utah, according to league sources, are all teams that have been looking to facilitate multi-team trades or take on unwanted salary in exchange for draft pick compensation," the report adds.
The 28-year-old Lonzo Ball has been having a tough season with the Cavaliers, averaging 4.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in around 21 minutes per game.
