Giannis Antetokounmpo #34 of the Milwaukee Bucks stands for the national anthem before their game against the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center on January 07, 2026 in San Francisco, California.

As of Monday night, the Milwaukee Bucks reportedly continued to “sift through” offers from the Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks and Miami Heat — the four most aggressive suitors for Giannis Antetokounmpo ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Warriors have offered the most “pick-heavy” package in a potential Giannis trade, while the Timberwolves and Knicks — with limited draft assets — have offered more player-heavy packages. The Heat have the most balanced offer on the table, which includes two first-round picks and 21-year-old big man Kel’el Ware, widely believed to have All-Star potential.

“My understanding is the Warriors have made a pick-heavy offer,” Charania told “SportsCenter” on Monday night. “…The Bucks are going to have to choose if they want to take one of these offers or potentially wait until the offseason.”

Giannis Trade Alters Bucks Season

Charania added that “the biggest conflict” facing the Bucks is that Antetokounmpo, sidelined indefinitely with a calf strain, may be opposed to the idea of playing for a potentially tanking team in the final stages of the season. With the Bucks (18-29) plummeting to the 12th seed in the East, there’s a realistic chance that they will tank the rest of the season to secure a high lottery pick in a generational draft class.

“There’s a lot to sift through in Milwaukee,” Charania said, noting that the Bucks are weighing the pros and cons of pulling the trigger on a Giannis trade by Thursday.

Antetokounmpo, a free agent in 2027, will reportedly have more say in his next team if the Bucks choose to move him in the offseason than at the trade deadline. As such, it may make more sense for the Bucks to accept the best-possible offer, added Charania.

Warriors Worried About Giannis Trade?

The Warriors are clearly willing to throw the kitchen sink at the Bucks, with multiple insiders suggesting they’re willing to surrender all their future draft capital and every player on the roster except Stephen Curry. According to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, the Bucks are “fascinated” with the idea of acquiring all of Golden State’s entire draft cupboard, and have yet to “decline” a Warriors trade offer for Giannis.

However, the Warriors reportedly also have trepidations about Antetokounmpo’s interest in pairing up with Curry, who turns 38 next month, and the public backlash he may endure for joining a fellow two-time MVP.

“There is suspicion that Antetokounmpo could be turned off by the idea of joining an older team and/or facing the sort of criticism that Kevin Durant continues to absorb to this day about teaming up with Curry.”

“How credible are such rumblings? Presumably only Giannis knows for sure.”

If Curry and Antetokounmpo link up, they’d become the first pair of multi-time MVPs to be teammates, joining Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson.
