The Philadelphia 76ers kicked off their five game road trip with an impressive 128-113 win in LA, building a 19 point first quarter lead against the Clippers and never looking back. While Tyrese Maxey (29) and Joel Embiid (24) had big nights, it was Dominick Barlow who stole the show, with the Sixers’ two-way forward finishing with career-highs in both points (26) and offensive rebounds (10) in the best performance of his short NBA career.
The Clippers were playing without James Harden, who was held out of the game due to “personal reasons”, and whose name popped up in trade rumors as the game was being played. The Clippers are reportedly in advanced talks with the Cavs about a potential Harden for Darius Garland swap.
Kawhi Leonard led the Clips in Harden’s absence, finishing with 29 points on the night.
