As Chelsea’s transfer window came to an uninspiring end, it was good at least to see a number of players move on who had no future at the club.
One individual who fits the bill in this regard is Axel Disasi. It has been more than a year since he played at Stamford Bridge.
The Frenchman got his move in the final moments of deadline day, making the switch to West Ham until the end of the season.

How much Chelsea will receive for Axel Disasi from West Ham
There seems to be no bad blood between the clubs after the clash, with the Blues not asking for much money to see Disasi leave for the rest of the season.
According to journalist Bobby Vincent, West Ham have paid just £1.7m to Chelsea to bring in the defender.
He said: “Axel Disasi loan move to West Ham United looks to be on at the moment – straight loan deal with no option/obligation to buy. Hammers to pay £1.7million to Chelsea.”
For context, Chelsea brought in Joao Felix for the rest of the season in January 2023 for nearly £10m (Sky Sports).

Disasi happy to be moving to West Ham
The Hammers were in need of a new centre-back for the next few games at least after Jean-Clair Todibo’s red card against the Blues on Saturday for violent conduct against Joao Pedro.
Disasi admitted he is excited by the West Ham move, giving him another chance to impress other sides and get a permanent move.
He featured heavily for Aston Villa when he moved on loan in January 2025, however not to the point where they felt like signing him permanently.
Disasi was one of a number of players who left the club on loan on deadline day. Aaron Anselmino, David Datro Fofana and Tyrique George also departed, with only the Argentine having any real future in West London.
