Kawhi Leonard reacted to the James Harden trade rumors, saying he respects whatever decision is made and adding that he trusts the Clippers' front office.
Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard reacted to reports about his teammate James Harden potentially being traded ahead of the trade deadline.
After a 113–128 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, Leonard said he respects whatever decision is made and did not want to go deeper into the conversation.
“I have no comment on it. I respect his decision, or whoever’s decision it is. That’s it. He’s still gonna be my boy. Trust the front office,” Leonard said postgame, via Joey Linn.
According to reports, the Cleveland Cavaliers are viewed as the most likely suitor for Harden, with teams already having discussed a potential swap involving Harden and Darius Garland.

Averaging 25.4 points, 8.1 assists, and 4.8 rebounds this season while shooting nearly 42 percent across 44 games, Harden has played a major role in the Clippers’ turnaround after a 6–21 start.
By signing a one-plus-one contract with the Clippers last summer, Harden gained an implied no-trade clause.
His 2026–27 season is a player option worth $42.3 million, with only $13.32 million guaranteed.
Harden was acquired by the Clippers from the Philadelphia 76ers early in the 2023–24 season, helping Los Angeles reach the NBA Playoffs in each of the past two seasons.
