Today marks the three year anniversary of Enzo Fernandez’s debut for Chelsea.
After a record breaking £105m transfer which followed a full month of negotiating with Benfica, the Argentine went straight into our team and has never really looked back.
He’s had his ups and downs, but celebrated his arrival in the perfect fashion against West Ham on Saturday, scoring a late winner for the Blues.

Stats site Squawka pointed out some interesting numbers that show Enzo’s impact since he arrived. He’s the number one player in the squad for chances created since then, with 168.
His goal contribution numbers are great too – only Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson have more for Chelsea since Enzo’s move. His 2025 numbers were particularly good in terms of goal and assist output, and he’s made a great start to 2026 which will see him break his own record if he continues.
There remains some debate about his position – some prefer him deeper, some as a number ten. Liam Rosenior is still experimenting with both as he tries to find a nice solution. It will be very interesting to see where he’s deployed tonight, especially now Cole Palmer is fit.
But wherever you use him, there’s no denying he’s developed into a very significant part of the team, both on and off the pitch. Here’s hoping the next three years can be as productive as the last three years.

Axel Disasi completed a late night loan to West Ham from a similar deal sheet.
