Liam Rosenior’s dad shares what Chelsea fans kept saying to him when they were losing to West Ham

Liam Rosenior is already winning plenty of people over in his first month in charge of Chelsea thanks to their record in games so far.

Mikel Arteta has described Rosenior as ‘incredible’ ahead of their clash in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg. The defeat in the first leg is the only game they have lost.

Chelsea fans were left cheering the boss and his side when they produced a comeback victory against arch-rivals West Ham.

Liam Rosenior’s dad shares what Chelsea fans said to him at 2-0 down vs West Ham

Rosenior’s father, Leroy, was in attendance for the game and sat behind his son as it all unfolded, and has admitted that there were some admitting they didn’t have much confidence in him in charge.

He told the Premier League Productions FanZone: “I think it’s the start he needed in all honesty. Because he is a young coach you know a lot of people say he’s coming from Strasbourg, and Chelsea have had massive names with great experience.

“It’s a start that he really needed I thought the performance against Napoli was a big one because it was against Conte.

“The atmosphere at Stamford Bridge, you can imagine there were people having a go at me at half-time while I was sat there they were patting me and saying ‘this isn’t very good’

“Then second half it all changed and it finished brilliantly and I think it was a performance at Stamford Bridge that he needed not only just for the supporters but for the players as well.”

Despite the negative reaction, Rosenior admitted he would have booed his own players off when they were 2-0 down, however things turned out okay in the end.

One thing that Blues fans would have loved though was the manner of the comeback, and the desperation to find the winner later on.

Rosenior admitted tactics ‘went out the window’ late on, something which Chelsea fans were crying out for more often when Enzo Maresca was in charge.
