Jeremy Jacquet was the only addition at Liverpool during what was a quiet transfer window for the Reds.
FSG have money to spend in the coming months, with Jamie Carragher of the opinion Liverpool need more than Jacquet to help their backline.
For now, though, fans are just excited to see the centre-back in action, but they will have to wait some time before he dons a Reds shirt.

Jacquet could play for Rennes on Wednesday evening, taking on Marseille in a French Cup clash.
The defender is highly regarded in France, and an insight into his career so far has been shared.
Jeremy Jacquet had Osgood-Schlatter disease
In a report from the Daily Mail on Tuesday, it was revealed that Liverpool are excited by how their latest signing has dealt with previous setbacks.
Among them were dislocating his shoulder at his first Rennes trial and suffering from Osgood-Schlatter as a teenager.

For those unfamiliar, the NHS have explained the disease: “The apophysis is the portion of the epiphysis which is attached to a tendon and subjected to tensile forces. In the knee, this is the tibial tuberosity where the patella tendon inserts. Continued traction from the quadriceps can lead to a repetitive injury to the growth plate causing pain and swelling in the region of the tuberosity. This is commonly exacerbated by sports (particularly football) and by kneeling.”
As mentioned, the disease can be exacerbated by football, and a number of former and current players have been impacted.
A report from The Athletic in 2024 said that Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard, Paul Scholes, Marcus Rashford, and Jordan Henderson were among the sufferers who had their long-term developments cast into doubt by Osgood-Schlatter during their Academy years.

Jayden Danns missed months of his career with Osgood-Schlatter disease
Elsewhere, Liverpool academy product Jayden Danns, who is the same age as Jacquet, was ruled out of action for around eight months at U16 level thanks to the disease and previously opened up on his struggles.
He told the club’s website: “In the space of such a short time, I think I went from 5ft 2in to 6ft. I was out for like eight months with Osgood and that was a tough time for me. You’re thinking, ‘Why’s this happening to me?’
“Obviously when you get back you start to appreciate it so much. Coming back, I just tried to get the most out of what I can really.
“But it makes you learn things and learn different ways to improve. If you look at me last season, I don’t think I was as powerful. I was a bit more leggy and Bambi-like!”
Unfortunately for Danns, he is currently sidelined with another issue, which means he has not played since September 2025.
