Is Steph Curry playing vs. 76ers tonight? Final status for Warriors star

The Golden State Warriors are set to host the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night.

It will be the second and final meeting of the season between the two teams, as the Sixers previously bested the Warriors, 99-98, back on Dec. 4 in Philadelphia.

Steph Curry ruled out vs. 76ers with 'runner's knee'

Warriors star guard Steph Curry didn’t play in that first matchup because he was sidelined with a quad injury, and unfortunately for the Warriors, he won’t be available for this one either.

Curry has been officially ruled out of the game due to right patellofemoral pain syndrome, which is also known as "runner's knee." The injury is defined by pain and swelling around the kneecap area. Moving forward, Curry is considered day-to-day.

On the season, Curry has appeared in 39 games for Golden State and posted averages of 27.2 points, 4.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per performance.

In addition to Curry, the Warriors will also be without Jimmy Butler, who is out for the remainder of the season with an ACL tear, and Jonathan Kuminga (left knee bone bruise). So, the game projects to be a tough one for Golden State.

Entering the matchup with Philadelphia, the Warriors sit eighth in the Western Conference with a record of 27-23. Meanwhile, the Sixers are sixth in the East at 28-21.
