We expected Liam Rosenior to go as strong as possible in this game to try and turn around the 3-2 deficit from the first leg, and he’s done just that. The fact he rested a few players to start the West Ham game on Sunday gives him more ability to go all out here.
Robert Sanchez is in goal and Wesley Fofana partners Trevoh Chalobah at centre back. But beyond that there are big questions in defence, as Reece James isn’t in the squad at all.
Given he didn’t start on Saturday, that is very surprising. There must be injury or illness we don’t know about. It looks like a back 3, with Jorrel Hato joining Chalobah and Fofana central.
Then Gusto and Marc Cucurella are the wing backs.
In midfield, Moises Caicedo and Andrey Santos are the double pivot, with Enzo Fernandez ahead. Liam Delap and Joao Pedro are the strikers in a 3412.
Rosenior’s starting lineups have not worked out in our last two games, but he’s managed to turn things around later in the game. This is another questionable shake up – but we’ll wait to pass judgment until it’s on the pitch.
