Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan explains what is 'frankly never done' at Anfield

**Liverpool are a far sight from the club that FSG invested into over the last 15 years and CEO Billy Hogan has discussed this in new quotes to the press.**

Many supporters have spent this season rightfully bemoaning the lack of quality on the pitch, there is a lot more to be excited about now than at the end of the Hicks and Gillett era.

Billy Hogan says FSG’s job with Liverpool will never be done, it’s ongoing

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan believes that although the club is in a far better place than when their stewardship began, their job ensuring the club stays where it belongs (the top) is never over.

Hogan said: _“The journey we’ve been on since 2010 over the last 15 years, it sounds maybe trite or simplistic to say: to continue that journey._

_“The term ‘sleeping giant’ was used when FSG was looking at Liverpool, in terms of this incredible potential that the club had, and it had obviously fallen on some difficult times. Our job and our focus has been on trying to return it to – as we believe – its rightful place._

_“That job is frankly NEVER done, that’s something we’re constantly working on. Improvements that we’ve made from an infrastructure standpoint, the continued investment in the squad._

_“At the end of the day, this is about winning trophies and about making our supporters happy and proud of the team. We’re going to continue to do that!”_

Perspective is an important takeaway from Liverpool’s poor season

-----------------------------------------------------------------

When FSG bought Liverpool in 2011, it was an institution with a lot of tradition and pride but was riddled with debt and longing for the glory days of the 80s and prior.

Now, thanks to the American owners and, more specifically, Jurgen Klopp, the Reds are once again acting like a big club.

Two Premier League titles and many other trophies in recent years marked the return of Liverpool to the table of Europe’s elite. This is evidenced by Liverpool being more commercially valuable than Manchester United for the first time in the Premier League era.

Yet, with the club struggling this season, it’s an important opportunity to take some perspective on how much worse things could be.

Although Liverpool are sixth with no prospects of retaining their crown as league champions, they are still financially dominant and will continue to invest into the team that Arne Slot is developing.
