Boomers big man traded by Grizzlies in mega package deal for star — NBA trades live

Australian Boomers star Jock Landale has been swept up in a major NBA trade, as the Memphis Grizzlies sent four players to Western Conference rival Utah Jazz — headlined by star forward Jaren Jackson Jr.

ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported the trade on X: “The Memphis Grizzlies are trading star forward Jaren Jackson Jr., John Konchar, Jock Landale and Vince Williams Jr. to the Utah Jazz for Walter Clayton Jr., Kyle Anderson, Taylor Hendricks, Georges Niang and three future first-round picks, sources tell ESPN.”

Landale, a 211cm centre, is averaging 11.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game this season, while shooting 51.4 per cent from the field. His first game for the Jazz could be against the Indiana Pacers today, if he has joined his new team on time.

Jackson Jr is averaging 19.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game this season, shooting 47.5 per cent from the field.
