Bulls continue changing guard room acquiring Jaden Ivey from Detroit

The Dario Saric Era was a short one.

Looking for young proven players that fit the timeline around Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis, a source confirmed the Bulls were involved in a three-team deal that sent Saric and Kevin Huerter to Detroit, while getting back Jaden Ivey and Mike Conley Jr. The Pistons and Timberwolves also swapped first-round protected picks.

Conley is an expiring contract and could be on the move yet again, as the Bulls are also still looking to move Coby White. Meanwhile, Ivey was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2022 draft and had seen his minutes trimmed after three years as a starter. He did shoot 40.9% from three-point range in 30 games last season, dealing with injuries.

He’s just 23 years old.

Saric was acquired over the weekend in a three-team deal that led to Jevon Carter being waived.
