Memphis Grizzlies have emerged as a potential third team in a deal that would send Domantas Sabonis from the Sacramento Kings to the Toronto Raptors. Memphis could use the massive trade exception created in the Jaren Jackson Jr. trade to acquire Jakob Poeltl from Toronto, clearing the way for the Raptors to land Sabonis.

All of a sudden, the Grizzlies have emerged as a potential suitor for Toronto Raptors center Jakob Poeltl as Toronto continues to pursue Kings star Sabonis, per Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.
The three-team trade scenario would have Memphis acquiring Poeltl from Toronto, allowing the Raptors to clear space and assets to land Sabonis from Sacramento. Memphis just created a TPE from the Jaren Jackson Jr. trade that they can use for Poeltl.
Poeltl would give the rebuilding Grizzlies a solid veteran center who can anchor the paint on both ends. The Austrian big man is a proven defender and rebounder who could provide stability while Memphis develops their young core.
For Toronto, landing Sabonis would be a franchise-changing move. Sabonis has appeared in 18 games this season, averaging 15.4 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.
The Kings have also been active on the trade market. Sacramento recently acquired DeAndre Hunter from the Cleveland Cavaliers in a three-team deal that sent Dennis Schroder and Keon Ellis to the Chicago Bulls.
This shows that the Kings are willing to make roster moves, but financial flexibility remains a key factor in any potential Sabonis deal.
