Celtics vs. Mavericks: The matchup
The Celtics make a short trip to Texas for a busy stretch of games that includes Tuesday’s game against the Mavericks, a Wednesday night matchup against the Rockets in Houston and a Friday night game back in Boston against the Miami Heat. Boston sits at 31-18 on the season despite playing all 49 games thus far without superstar Jayson Tatum, seeing Brown emerge as a No. 1 option in his presence. The veteran logged a 30-point, 13-rebound double-double to lead the Celtics to their second straight win, 107-79 over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.

The Mavericks are 7.5-point underdogs on their home floor as they look to snap a four-game losing streak that has dropped them to 19-30 overall and fourth place in the Southwest Division. Last time out, Flagg led the way with 34 points on 13-of-25 shooting in a 111-107 road loss to the Houston Rockets on Saturday night. That standout effort came on the heels of the 19-year-old scoring a career-high 49 points in another losing effort to the Charlotte Hornets (123-121) on Thursday.
