The Carabao Cup final is one step closer following the semi-final clash between Arsenal and Chelsea. The Gunners carried a 3-2 lead from the first leg into the reverse fixture at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
Arsenal clinched a 1-0 victory in the second leg in north London, with substitute Kai Havertz netting the decisive goal against his former club in stoppage time. This win saw the Gunners advance to the final with an aggregate score of 4-2.
The second leg of the other semi-final will take place on Wednesday night, featuring Manchester City and Newcastle United. Pep Guardiola's side currently hold a 2-0 lead from the first leg at St James' Park last month.
With their place in the Carabao Cup final now secured, Arsenal's dream of a historic quadruple remains alive. The Champions League, FA Cup and Premier League title are still up for grabs.

This marks the first time that the Gunners have reached the final of this competition since 2018, when they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Man City.

The Carabao Cup final is set to take place on Sunday, March 22 at Wembley Stadium.

Following Arsenal's semi-final triumph over Chelsea, their Premier League fixture against Wolves - provisionally scheduled for the weekend of 21-22 March - will need to be rearranged.
