(WNDU) - Former Marian High School standout Jaden Ivey has been traded from the Detroit Pistons to the Chicago Bulls as part of a three-team deal involving the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to [ESPN’s Shams Charania](https://x.com/ShamsCharania/status/2018767638386663838).
The trade comes ahead of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline at 3 p.m. Eastern time.
Ivey, 23, was the [fifth overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft](https://www.wndu.com/2022/06/24/jaden-ivey-selected-5th-nba-draft-by-detroit-pistons/) out of Purdue University. He is the son of Notre Dame women’s basketball head coach Niele Ivey.
This season, Ivey has appeared in 33 games for Detroit, averaging 8.2 points per game.
