The Los Angeles Clippers reportedly declined a trade offer for Ivica Zubac from the Boston Celtics.
HoopsHype's Michael Scotto reported Tuesday that the Celtics offered Anfernee Simons, a first-round pick and a future first-round pick swap for Zubac. The Celtics opted to trade for Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic instead, and had interest in the Grizzlies' Jaren Jackson Jr., who landed in Utah.
Zubac is having another strong season for the Clippers, averaging 14.4 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He missed six games earlier this season due to a left ankle sprain but has remained healthy outside of that stretch.

He has averaged a double-double each of the past two seasons, including a career-high 16.8 points and 12.6 rebounds last season. He's in his eighth season with the Clippers after being acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers in 2019.
This could be a busy trade deadline for LA. SI's Chris Mannix said Monday that the Clippers are considering trading James Harden to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Darius Garland. A Harden trade would drastically change the picture for the Clippers going forward, as he's been a key member of their core.
The Clippers have been playing much better basketball lately. LA (23-26) has won 17 of its past 22 games after a disastrous start to the season. They're ninth in the Western Conference, a half-game ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers for the final play-in spot.
It remains to be seen if the Clippers will keep Zubac past the deadline. For now, he remains one of the team's most consistent performers.
