The Los Angeles Lakers will be looking to end their extended road trip with a win against the Nets in Brooklyn on Tuesday night.
The good news for the Lakers is that they’ll be getting a major reinforcement back for the contest.
Austin Reaves will return to game action vs. Nets
After an extended, 19-game stay on the sideline due to a calf strain, star guard Austin Reaves will return to game action for the Lakers tonight in Brooklyn, per Lakers head coach J.J. Redick.
Reaves' last game action came on Christmas Day. He played just 15 minutes in L.A.'s 119-96 loss to the Houston Rockets before exiting with injury.
On the season, Reaves has appeared in 23 games for the Lakers and posted averages of 26.6 points, 6.3 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 1.0 steal per performance.
Redick is understandably excited about Reaves' return, as the Lakers have missed his productive play.
"I think we've missed him in every facet," Redick said. "Both as an on-ball player, off-ball player, a connector, leadership on the court, competitive spirit -- competitive spirit defensively. So, he's an All-Star-level player, and of course, you're going to miss him in a number of ways."
