The Los Angeles Clippers are trading point guard James Harden to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for point guard Darius Garland and a second-round pick, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
News of a possible trade involving Harden was reported by Charania and others late Monday night.
Harden is having a resurgent season at 37-years-old, averaging 25.2 points and 8.1 assists per game in 44 games this season. This is now the fifth time in Harden’s career that he has been traded.
Garland, who has been with the Cavs for seven seasons, is averaging 18.0 points and 6.9 assists in 26 games.
