Charlotte Hornets sensation Kon Knueppel has accepted the invitation to join the 2026 3-Point Contest in next week's NBA All-Star Weekend, sources told NBA insider Chris Haynes.

With the entry of Knueppel, the three-point shootout will be even more anticipated in Los Angeles.
The rising star leads all rookies this season in three-pointers made with 166 triples. In 50 games played thus far, he is averaging 18.7 points.
Draining 42.5 percent of his shots from beyond the arc, Knueppel already established himself as one of the top shooters in the NBA.
Other key candidates are yet to be revealed. As such, Knueppel will aim to become the first-ever Hornet to win the competition.
The 3-Point Contest is part of the All-Star Saturday Night, which will be held on Feb. 14 at Intuit Dome.
