Talking to the press after the match, the Albacete coach, Alberto Gonzalez, talked about how his team continued to fight till the very last moment:
**“Even at 0–2, we always believed, and with our own weapons we managed to contain a team as dangerous as Barcelona, going through moments of adversity and still being able not to lose our face in the game.”**
Gonzalez also talked about his team’s chances to equalize the scores late in the game:
**“We had the chance to equalise, and seeing it so close has brought us together with the fans once again, just like last time. Hopefully, we can maintain that connection for the rest of the season, because it will be positive for everyone.”**
There is no doubt that Albacete put in a strong fight against Barcelona. However, the Blaugranes were able to get the job done, and make their way to the next round of the competition.
