Liam Rosenior has been impressed with him, but£20m Chelsea man is set to leave this summer - journalist

There were several exits at Chelsea during the January transfer window, and more are expected at the end of the season.

On deadline day, Tyrique George, Axel Disasi and Aaron Anselmino all left Stamford Bridge on loan.

Anselmino is likely to be part of Chelsea’s long-term plans, but the expectation is that George and Disasi will both be sold. The Blues were also finally able to offload Raheem Sterling after the forward agreed to terminate his contract.

As well as George and Disasi, Chelsea could also sell one of their goalkeepers in the summer.

Filip Jorgensen set to leave Chelsea in the summer

Right now, Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen are Chelsea’s first and second-choice goalkeepers.

However, Chelsea rate Mike Penders highly and could hand him a spot in the first team after his loan spell at Strasbourg.

In fact, journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that the Blues are actually planning to do that.

As a result, Jorgensen will depart the club after the conclusion of this campaign, according to Phillips.

Despite attracting interest last month, Jorgensen remained at Chelsea, but he will have no choice but to leave west London in the summer if Penders returns.

The 23-year-old is at risk of becoming Liam Rosenior’s third-choice shot-stopper should he remain at Stamford Bridge.

Liam Rosenior has been impressed with Filip Jorgensen

If Penders goes out on loan again and Jorgensen ends up staying at Chelsea, Rosenior is unlikely to be too disappointed.

The former Strasbourg boss has liked what he has seen from his deputy goalkeeper so far.

As Rosenior discussed an injury that Jorgensen recently sustained, he said: “Unfortunately, he picked something up. Devastated for him, because he’s really impressed me, not just the game at Charlton, but in training, too.”

From Jorgensen’s point of view, the £20m Denmark international will feel that he is good enough to be No.1. Therefore, whether Penders sticks around or not in the summer, a Jorgensen exit seems inevitable.

At Chelsea, it looks like the ex-Villarreal star will always be behind Sanchez, meaning that he will have to go somewhere else to become first choice.
