John Terry left his daughter, Summer, begging him not to post a video of footage he captured of himself watching Chelsea's Carabao Cup defeat by Arsenal in a full Blues tracksuit.

The Chelsea icon caught pelters as his former side were knocked out by the Gunners when Kai Havertz's late winner put the final out of reach for Liam Rosenior and co. Terry shared his reaction to the moment Chelsea suffered their death knell.

The 45-year-old was filming in the hope of capturing a dramatic Chelsea equaliser. "Just over a minute to go. We need a goal," he said.

"Not a bad performance tonight. Love that, dog's loving it. Come on, boys, we need a goal, a big chance. Take it in the box. Come on, deliver."

A failed foray forward caused Terry's daughter to express her frustration with some colour language.

"Don't put that anywhere, please," Summer said, as Terry looked aghast at the camera. "Don't put that anywhere, Dad," she added with a slight laugh.

Terry retorted: "Say sorry." After obliging, Summer continued: "You're not putting that anywhere."

"I am," replied an adamant Terry as Summer pleaded: "You're not."

Terry soon let loose with his own expletive as he watched former Blues star Havertz score. The ex-Chelsea captain told his 454,000 TikTok followers: "Offside, offside anyway.

"Offside. Surely he's offside. That's the end of our cup run. Surely he's offside.

"Not a bad performance from us but didn't really look like scoring all night to be honest and Arsenal have done what they needed tonight."

To Terry and Summer's dismay, Havertz's goal stood, and so Liam Rosenior's were knocked out of the Carabao Cup. It marked the second defeat of his reign, with both coming against Arsenal.

Terry, famous for wearing his full kit despite not playing in the Champions League final in 2012, clarified why he was wearing a club tracksuit while watching the game. "I’m not sitting at home in my Chelsea tracksuit," he said.

"Got back earlier from our Youth League Game vs PSV which we won on penalties."

Chelsea's under-19 side secured progression to the UEFA Youth League last 16 after beating PSV 7-6 in a penalty shoot-out following a 1-1 draw.

That didn't stop some Arsenal fans from enjoying the scenes Terry uploaded.

"Thought Kai Havertz scoring would be the best thing I watch tonight but here’s John Terry recording himself thinking Chelsea will score only for Kai to win it. In his full Chelsea tracksuit ahaahhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahah," said one supporter.

"John Terry says Kai Havertz was offside. What!? This is why he’ll never be as good as William Saliba!" added another.

"Why would he even post this?" commented one social media user. "Like he had the option to press post."
