The 2026 World Cup is edging closer and some of the Chelsea players are beginning to understand their chances of making squads.
It’s a big season for many Chelsea players looking to force their way into their nation’s World Cup sides.
We’ve already seen Chelsea legend N’Golo Kante join Fenerbahce as he looks to stake a claim for his place at the 2026 World Cup.
Even Emanuel Emegha, who is set to join Chelsea in the summer, has a chance of making the Netherlands squad if he can kick on once he returns from injury.
Estevao Willian is another player who could end up playing in his first World Cup at just 19 years old (in April), but it all hinges on one thing.
Out of Andrey Santos, Joao Pedro and Estevao Willian, who deserves a World Cup place the most?🤔
Carlo Ancelotti thinks it's Estevao…

Carlo Ancelotti gives Estevao Willian a guaranteed place in Brazil’s 2026 World Cup squad
Estevao Willian has captured the attention of everyone in world football with his performances at Chelsea so far this season, scoring six goals and assisting three.
His attitude for an 18-year-old is incredible. Evidenced by Estevao flying home from Brazil just to play in Chelsea’s clash with Arsenal after a family issue.
And that hasn’t gone unnoticed by Carlo Ancelotti, as ESPN Brasil are reporting that Estevao Willian is guaranteed for his 2026 World Cup squad as long as he doesn’t get injured.
These 11 guaranteed players are Alisson, Marquinhos and Gabriel Magalhaes, Casemiro, Bruno Guimaraes, Vinicius Jr., Estevao, Raphinha, Rodrygo, Matheus Cunha and Gabriel Martinelli.
Be honest: If Estevao avoids injuries, is he actually destined to be GREATER than Eden Hazard?

Estevao Willian’s stats for Brazil
Estevao Willian has been just as good for the Brazil national team, scoring five goals in 11 appearances, which includes four goals in his last four international friendlies.
You would have to say that he’s one of the shoe-ins for the World Cup squad, and rightly so. He’s shown he can deliver in the Premier League and the Champions League.
As well as this, Estevao has given some of the best defenders in world football a hard time, including Jurrien Timber in the first leg against Arsenal
