David Moyes was ‘fixated’ on signing a striker for most of the January transfer window, but his plans changed after Jack Grealish’s injury.
Once it was confirmed that Grealish would be out for a long period, the Toffees boss was intent on finding an adequate replacement in the market.

George has conducted his first interview with Everton and has also posted a selection of photos from his signing-on day on Instagram.
Underneath his post, many fellow professional footballers have congratulated him on the transfer, including Liverpool star Rio Ngumoha.

The Reds winger posted a fire emoji along with praised hands, so clearly the pair have a good relationship from their time together in the Chelsea academy.

Evidently, George is well-liked among his peers, so it seems Everton won’t just be adding a talented player to their squad, but also a good character.

Tyrique George simply has to start vs Fulham
George could make his debut on Saturday afternoon when Everton take on Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Moyes is usually pretty cautious with new signings and often gives them time to bed in before starting them.

However, in this case, with Grealish being out injured, the Scotsman must start the 20-year-old on the left flank.
Iliman Ndiaye should be moved back over to the right flank, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall should be operating as the number 10.
