“Wonderful”West Ham Star Told Liverpool Transfer Could Be On If The Hammers Are Relegated

West Ham could sell one of their top players to Liverpool if they are relegated at the end of the season.

The Hammers had a busy January transfer window, signing two new strikers, Fulham star Adama Traore, and Chelsea defender Axel Disasi on loan. Nuno Espirito Santo will hope the new additions can help his side survive relegation.

West Ham are currently sitting 18th in the Premier League table, six points behind Nottingham Forest and Leeds United, who are in 17th and 16th respectively.

For much of the rest of the season, the Hammers will be relying on their best players, and now that Lucas Paqueta has left, that points directly towards winger Jarrod Bowen, who has scored eight goals and provided three assists in 26 games this season.

Bowen told Liverpool transfer could be on in the summer

If West Ham were to get relegated, you would imagine that Bowen would move on, as the 29-year-old is more than good enough to deliver not only in the Premier League, but in the Champions League too.

This has been echoed by a former West Ham star, as Joe Cole believes that Bowen could go to Liverpool in the summer. Cole was quoted by LondonWorld: “Jarrod is a wonderful footballer, a great character and a hero at West Ham. His name will stand shoulder to shoulder with all the great players that have played for the club.

“If West Ham were to get relegated, it won’t be anything to do with what Jarrod Bowen has done; he’s been a stalwart for the club. I think he’ll walk away and the majority of the fans will accept that. Who does he suit? Obviously, Liverpool, that slot [out wide] might come into play if Mo Salah leaves. He can go and play anywhere.”

Bowen has an estimated market value of around £30m, but West Ham could likely demand more money than that because of just how good a player he is. The 29-year-old is currently under contract until 2030, which would help West Ham in their bargaining power too.
