Warriors have the best Giannis trade offer, claims NBA insider

The Warriors are reportedly leading the race for Giannis Antetokounmpo with a strong trade package, though Milwaukee shows little urgency to move him and would likely need a third team to take on Draymond Green.

The Golden State Warriors remain in pole position to trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo with just one day left before the February 5 trade deadline, should the Milwaukee Bucks decide to move their franchise star.

Golden State Warriors / Schedule

"I am seeing action from the Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves to improve their offer. The best offer I'm aware of belongs to the Warriors, but I'm not seeing a lot of momentum towards Milwaukee making a Giannis move," insider Brian Windhorst said on ESPN's Get Up show.

According to reports, Golden State has already constructed a trade framework that would send Draymond Green, Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, and draft capital to Milwaukee.

However, Marc Stein reports that the Bucks are not willing to take on Green's contract and would prefer involving a third team to absorb the veteran forward.

Stephen Curry remains the Warriors' only untouchable player in any potential deal.

Warriors owner Joe Lacob has long envisioned pairing Giannis with Steph, making Golden State one of the most aggressive teams pursuing the Greek Freak ahead of this year's trade deadline.
