Lakers and Warriors star have mutual interest in deal

The Los Angeles Lakers and Draymond Green are mutually interested in a deal, while the Warriors' proposed trade to acquire Giannis faces hurdles with the Bucks reluctant to take on Green's contract.

The Los Angeles Lakers and Draymond Green have mutual interest if he's traded as part of a package for Giannis Antetokounmpo, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

"If he were traded, his plan would not be to remain in Milwaukee. He would want to be moved on," Windhorst said on ESPN's Get Up show.

On Tuesday, NBA insider Marc Stein reported that the Golden State Warriors are still committed to acquiring Giannis.

The Warriors have already outlined a potential trade that would send Draymond Green, Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski, and draft picks to the Milwaukee Bucks.

However, Stein notes that the Bucks are hesitant to take on Green's contract and would prefer a third team to absorb it.

Green, 35, is a four-time NBA champion and four-time All-Star. In his 14th season with the Warriors, he is averaging 8.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game.
