Arsenal have seemingly confirmed four members of next season’s scholarship intake, including Emerson Nwaneri.

Forward Kyran Thompson is set to be part of the group along with defender Angelinou Pedro and midfielder Nduka as well as Nwaneri, who can play as a midfielder or a forward. All four players have already featured at U21 and U19 levels.

In a post on Instagram, Arsenal indicated that the four players will join Max Dowman in signing scholarship terms.

Last night the quartet were amongst eight players presented with a shirt at Emirates Stadium by Per Mertesacker and Luke Hobbs for being called up in the UEFA Youth League as schoolboys.

U15 players Jaden Maghoma, Mikael Bonaventure Yetna and Charlie Phillips were also honoured along with U14 prospect Luis Munoz.

In terms of next season’s scholarship intake, left-backs Hakeem Abubakar and Elyon Mbala are also in contention along with forwards Jayden Oba and Joshua Sesay as well as defender Theo Odaji-Ukueku and midfielder Charlie Purdy.
