Landale, an Australian Boomers and former Memphis Grizzlies center, is in the midst of the best season of his NBA career.
Just a day ago, he was part of an eight-player blockbuster trade that sent him, along with star teammate Jaren Jackson Jr., to the Utah Jazz. So, he was traded twice in about 24 hours.
After playing just 42 games last season with the Houston Rockets – where "DNP-Coaches Decision" was a regular occurrence – Landale has already appeared in 45 games for the Grizzlies this season. Many of those were starts at center due to ongoing injuries to teammate Zach Edey.
Landale has averaged 11.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 23.6 minutes per game, shooting 51.4% from the field and 38.0% from three-point range.
