The most surprising trade of the season so far was a point guard swap between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Clippers. Darius Garland is now with the Clippers, while Harden is now with the Cavaliers.
This is a rare move that could be good for both sides, as the Clippers want to have a building block for the future, while the Cavaliers want a player who can help them compete now.
Harden shows his gratitude to the Clippers
When Harden was in turmoil during the later stages of his Philadelphia 76ers stint, teams were worried about the former MVP. The Clippers took a chance on him, and he gave them some of the most impressive years of his career.
The Clippers gave him a shot, and Harden paid that back in full with superb performances. It was a fantastic two and a half years with the Clippers, and Harden will never forget them.

While the Clippers did not succeed with Harden, he did make them a better team. He regained his superstar form with the Clippers, and Harden will bring that with him to Cleveland while playing with Donovan Mitchell.
"Thank you, Steve Ballmer, L Franke, and the entire Clipper organization. Two and a half years ago, you welcomed me with open arms and allowed me to be the best version of myself," Harden said in his farewell letter to the Clippers.
"To say I'm grateful is an understatement. I'll forever consider myself a Clipper."
Harden is now with the Cavaliers, but he did leave a lasting impression on the Clippers. Garland has some big shoes to fill in Los Angeles, with Harden and Chris Paul being his predecessors.
