Curry and Kuminga remain out versus Suns

No matter who is on the Golden State Warriors after Thursday’s trade deadline, Steph Curry and Jonathan Kuminga won’t be taking the floor against the Phoenix Suns that night.

Curry’s runner’s knee and Kuminga’s bone bruise will keep both of them out to start the Warriors’ quick road trip, which ends with a televised matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers Saturday.

The Suns will be missing some key players themselves. Devin Booker’s ankle injury will keep him out of the game and Jalen Green is questionable with an injury to his right hamstring and a contusion on his left hip. The Suns will have reigning Western Conference Player of the Week Dillon Brooks and it feels very weird to type out that sentence. That means Draymond Green — if still on the team — should have extra motivation for his podcast the game.

In the event that the Warriors acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo before noon on Thursday, he will also be out with an injury.

Given the injuries and the potential trades, Thursday is shaping up to be a big night for Pat Spencer and Pat Spencer enthusiasts at the Talking Stick Resort Arena.
