In return, the Hornets are allotting cash considerations to the Magic as they welcome the addition of Jones. Orlando gets below the luxury tax upon the deal's completion.

According to ESPN's Bobby Marks, the Hornets have obtained the 2027 least favorable second-pick via Boston Celtics/Orlando and the 2028 second rounder from the Magic.

Jones has played in 48 games this season, posting averages of 3.0 points and 2.4 assists while logging 15.7 minutes per game.

He is shooting an awful 34.2 percent from the field and 29.4 percent from threes.

He joined the Magic last offseason in a reported one-year deal worth $7 million.
